Deloitte: Crypto payments will be the standard by 2026

A few days ago, Deloitte, in cooperation with the payment giant PayPal, published a survey in which it interviewed retailers. From December 3 to December 16, 2021,

2,000 executives from various US retailers across many industries participated in the company's survey. The results are more than optimistic. According to the survey, 85% of retailers expect cryptocurrency payments to be standard in their respective industries over the next five years. 73% of merchants surveyed even plan to integrate cryptocurrency payments within three years.

"THIS YEAR, MORE THAN 60% OF MERCHANTS INTEND TO INVEST MORE THAN $ 500,000 IN BUILDING A CRYPTOCURRENCY PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE. 26% OF MERCHANTS ALREADY HAVE CRYPTOCURRENCY OPTIONS IN PLACE. "

Less than half of retailers think that adopting crypto will take the customer experience to the next level. The biggest challenges of cryptocurrency adoption include security issues, evolving regulation, cryptocurrency volatility, and scalability. According to the survey, we could pay for retailers with bitcoin in the very near future.
