Alberta wants to become a cryptocurrency center

According to recent reports, the management of the Canadian province of Alberta wants to support innovation in the financial services sector, explore new products and services and attract investors to emerging technology companies.

Alberta, which is very rich in minerals such as oil and natural gas, is currently supporting a policy of becoming a North American cryptocurrency center. As part of this policy, they also want to attract companies that trade and offer services related to digital assets.

During a recent interview, the Labor Secretary Doug Schweitzer said that cryptocurrency companies operating not only in Canada have shown a huge interest in the province of Alberta in recent months.

"I THINK ALBERTA HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY IN CANADA'S LEADING ROLE BY CREATING A HOME FOR THESE RISK COMPANIES."

Under new legislation to support innovation in the financial services sector, government officials want to find out new products and services. The main goal is to strengthen the position of Canada's largest oil and gas-producing province as a modern electric power and to attract investment in emerging technologies.
